The mission of H.O.P.E Counseling and Consultation Services was established for the purposes of providing quality mental health services. We provide services to adults, children, families, and community agencies that provide mental health services to individuals in the community. H.O.P.E stands for Helping Our People Endure. Life is a journey, and it is our goal to provide clients with guidance along the way by instilling hope and promoting growth and development.
Pamela D. Knight, Ph.D, LPC, LMFT, CCMHC, NCC
Dr. Knight is a native of Waterbury, Connecticut, but moved to Richmond, Virginia at an early age. She received her Master’s degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from East Tennessee State University in 2003. Dr. Knight earned her doctorate degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from Regent University in May of 2010, and is dually licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Virginia. Dr. Knight founded H.O.P.E Counseling and Consultation Services, LLC in January of 2011.
Dr. Knight is skilled in a variety of therapeutic approaches to assist clientele with achieving their personal goals. She has vast experience in working with individuals from kindergarten through the geriatric stage of life. Dr. Knight provides outpatient counseling for those struggling with various mental health issues (i.e. Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, etc.), behavioral problems, survivors of domestic violence/sexual abuse/rape, grief and loss, self-esteem, marital/couple’s counseling, parenting, and divorce mediation.
